What third-party testing tells you, and what it does not
Every Aurevo lot is tested by an outside lab for heavy metals and microbes, and the results are published by lot number. Here is what that means, and its limits.
By Dev Castellano, Co-founder & COO

I built Aurevo's lot-testing program before we had a second product. The promise was simple: every lot of everything we sell is tested by a lab we do not own, for contaminants,, and the results are published where anyone can read them. Seven years in, the promise has not changed. What has changed is how often people ask what it actually means.
A lot is the unit that gets tested
A lot is one production run: the powder, capsules or softgels made together from the same batches of ingredients. Every tub, pouch and bottle carries its lot number and its best-by date on the base. That number is the key to everything else. With it, you can find the lab results for the exact product in your hand on our Supplement Facts & Lab Results page.
What the lab checks
Every lot is tested by an independent lab for heavy metals and for microbes. Some products have a test of their own on top: the fish oil is tested for oxidation, a measure of freshness, the Vitamin D3 + K2 for potency, and the Creatine Gummies for the creatine they claim, because a gummy is the hardest format to dose accurately. Plant Protein and Collagen Peptides have their heavy metals results called out on the page, because those are the questions people ask about them.
- Every lot: heavy metals and microbes, by an independent lab.
- Omega-3 Fish Oil: oxidation (TOTOX), every lot.
- Vitamin D3 + K2: potency, every lot.
- Creatine Gummies: creatine content, every lot.
- Results published by lot number, not as a single sample for the whole product.
What it does not mean
Third-party testing is a test result, not a certification and not a seal. We do not put a certification mark on our labels, and when you see the word "tested" from us, it means exactly what is written above. A test tells you what was measured in that lot. It does not tell you that a product will do anything for you, and we would be overstepping if we let it sound that way.
It also does not mean a product cannot be affected after it leaves us. Heat, humidity and an open lid change powders. That is why the storage guidance is on every label, and why we ask for the lot number and a photo whenever someone tells us something looks wrong.
Things that are normal, and things that are not
Plant ingredients vary with the harvest, so the color of Daily Greens can shift a little from one lot to the next. That is normal. Soft clumps in a humid kitchen are normal too; they break up with a dry scoop. A tub that has hardened solid, a broken inner seal, an off smell or capsules stuck together are not normal. If you find one of those, do not take it: write to us with the lot number and the best-by date, and our quality team flags the lot the same day.
Freshness on arrival
Everything we ship leaves with at least nine months before its best-by date. If something arrives with less, it should not have gone out, and we want to know.
Testing is the part of our business customers never see working. Publishing it is how we make it something you can check instead of something you have to believe.
